I started working for this company loading tiles onto the roof. It was my first day doing this job and a coworker kept calling me white boy. I ecplained that this is racist and not right. As the day went on the workers and foreman Julio kept saying that i looked dead and were poking fun at me because i was exhausted and worked past breaktime. I explained that i needed to get used to this job. After we finally got our break the foreman was insinuating that that this doesnt seem like the right job for me even though one of the workers said he felt the same way on the first day. Mind you we were a man short so it was extra work load. No compassion with this company. Racial slurs. Told me i was crazy after i was defending myself from the hazing. Told me that they were going to leave me over an hour away from where i lived after i rode in with the crew. After getting in touch with upper management i was picked up by a supervisor that was not in agreeance with the foremans decision to leave me. The next day they had me come in and took the whole crew in for a drug test. The lab was not opening until and hour later so they just scratched the whole thing and wasted my time along with my wife and sons time at 6 in the morning. Then the owner calls me to come in for a meeting. At ever turn they are protecting the companies interest instead of my rights indicating and insinuating that i am wrong. I told the company that i would report them for their violations and the owner Santos said that he will come and find me and them instructed Dawn the GM to have a restraining order put on me. This company is racist against white people, viloates OSHA regulations and laws in america that protects its citizens. One of the employees told me that alot of the workers are family and are here illegaly in the country. I am a citizen, i give my best effort to this company and they run me over with their unresolved issues and their darkside which they obviously refuse to put into the light. The fact that the owner would put a hit out on me shows me that they are not running business here rightously in the land that my forefathers built. I hope i recieve my pay and that foreman is fired and i get my job back among professional and respectful workers so that i can support my wife and kid in the country i was born in. Wow i do not know what else to say about this company except that it sucks and i would not hire these human rights OSHA violators to put roofs over my head when they are unrivhtously stripping my family of a roof over their head. Wrong wrong wrong.
This roofer installed the shingles on my new DR Horton home in Sarasota, FL. Not only did they forget to install a vent shroud which has been leaking since the first day we moved in, but they came back to repair it and it STILL LEAKS. They have been blowing off the area construction manager for weeks now. I'm sure they will be backcharged for all the mold remediation and restoration work that had to be done because of their inability to install a roof properly. I sure hope this company doesn't last long, I would HATE to see other people go through what we are. STAY AWAY!!!
